So I’ve been meaning to blog but my time keeps slipping away. The business of life sweeps me up and I can’t get to my computer, I can’t get the words out fast enough to keep up with my “to do lists.”
Or even to keep up with the blessings in my life. I am truly blessed and I am so thankful. I am thankful for the good and the bad in my life. For the difficult times I am thankful. Because those times mold and shape who I am. They give me opportunities to fully rely on God and they grow me closer to Him. I have never been so full of joy than when I’ve had nothing. I thank God for those moments and will take more if it means more of Him.
I have found myself in a time of overwhelming blessings. God is providing for my every need. In some amazing ways – which makes life so much fun!! From the basics, like food and clothes up to more inner stuff like being so consumed with His love that I am in a place where healthy relationships can thrive. Each blessing comes with new life-lessons and I’m eager to learn and grow.
This Thanksgiving I am so thankful. I am thankful for community – my family or I should say families. I am so blessed that have many. I have my biological family, my Woo family and my friends who are truly family to me. I am so thankful that God has put so many amazing people in my life. I could not do this life without them – I don’t want to.
This week I will stop. I have made a commitment to spend Thursday, Friday and Saturday NOT working. An extended Sabbath of sorts. Between school, working @ The Woo, and planning for the Straight Up Café and community center my time fills up fast. And I’m looking forward to some down time with my families!
I have so much more to share with you – but it will have to wait!!!
I pray your Thanksgiving is full of thanks and praise!!!
God is so good.
